Spicy Roasted Potatoes
Roasting the potatoes on high heat results in a charred outside and tender inside. Paired with the spice blends of your choice these can taste different everyday of the week.
4 large russet potatoes
2 tsp chili flake
2 tsp black pepper
2 tsp salt
1 tsp Golden Curry
2 tsp Savory Tikka, Smoky Tandoor or Sweet Chilifire
2 tbsp olive oil
prep the potatoes
Cut potatoes into thirds across the short side. You are trying to make large 1.5" to 2" discs. Then cut the rounds into quarters. What is left are large chunks.
season the potatoes
Put potatoes into a bowl and add all the ingredients. Toss to combine.
cook the potatoes
Preheat oven to 475 degrees. Shake potatoes onto a parchment lined baking tray and arrange in a single layer. Place in the middle rack of the oven.
After 15 minutes remove the tray from the oven and flip the potatoes to make sure it is not sticking or burning. Check again after 5 minutes and toss again. The potatoes are done when there is good color on all sides, it should look deeply roasted. Total cook time is between 25-30 minutes.
