I am trying my way through the various products, and have found some that click, and some that don't, but all are excellent taste and as good (well, better) than homemade. Magic Masala is very good, not too spicy hot, though it is filled with spice flavor. I was lazy, and used to bring out the flavor in a dish of rotisserie chicken, Magic Masala and jasmine rice with a few veggies I had (green beans, carrots, some left over spinach....turned my leftovers into a wonderful dish better than any other meal that week.
I never write reviews, but Spicemode products are a must have for your pantry. If you are looking to change your quick weeknight dinner to a delicious meal, I highly suggest adding Spicemode. It's is the most delicious Indian food that I have tried on the market, its all natural, healthy ingredients are handmade and you can feel the love in each product. I love the Magic Masala and the Fiery Vindaloo sauces.
My first order of Magic Masala did not keep well at all. I put in the fridge, but it didn’t last there either. BECAUSE.....I virtually inhaled it. I put a spoon next to the jar. I put it on cream cheese, on cottage cheese, in deviled eggs,as a condiment with cold chicken. I didn’t have enough left to cook with! What to do? Order some more, of course. Second chances, right? This batch won’t last long either. It’s just that good! Oh, it’s also great to cook with. Try it. You’ll take a second chance too!
India in a jar. I might just give our favorite Indian restaurant some competition. The sauce was delicious. I made a chicken dish and added butternut squash, chic peas, potatoes, a bit of heavy cream. I got rave reviews.
Complex, interesting but the sauce seemed sweet. Hard to counterbalance, nevertheless will buy a couple more.
I have nothing but great things to say about the sauces that spicemode carries. Being in a small town in Nebraska I'm not anywhere near an Indian restaurant. Growing up chicken marsala with saffron rice and naan bread was such a treat. This sauce is fantastic and with chicken that I cook with a little bit of peanut oil then I put underneath the broiler so it has that distinct taste and texture that I love. The marsala sauce it's just exquisite I do add a little bit of coconut milk. I have no access to coconut cream I've heard that's a little bit better. To stretch out the sauce and make it even more flavorful. This is a wonderful and easy way to enjoy great Indian food at home. Amar is who I believe the owner of this wonderful company. Has helped me greatly because I let him know my dietary restrictions and he is such an honest guy because the Tikka vindaloo was just a little bit too spicy for my stomach. Even though once upon a time I could eat spices with no problem at all. He let me know to try it and if it was still too spicy even if I cut it back with tomatoes and coconut milk he would refund my money for that particular sauce which he did within the same day that I brought it up to him. And oddly I told him that I was going to add chopped tomatoes and he let me know that he was going to go ahead and refund my money anyway because he felt like chopped tomatoes probably has a little bit too much acid for my stomach and might make things uncomfortable for me! So this is a good guy and I'm so happy to support this company anyway I can. I am definitely going to be a repeat customer. I look for some more exciting recipes on the spice mode website. Such a great company thank you!
